The CKJU is delighted to enjoy great personal and professional relationships with the following esteemed martial artists, as featured below:

Russell Stutely

http://www.russellstutely.com

Russ Stutely is a World Authority not only on Kyusho Jutsu, (Pressure Point striking), but also his Open Circle Fighting Method, (OCFM), is a superb martial arts technology, totally focused on amplification of traditional techniques applicable to Street self-defence, as well as Okuden Waza, (Secret Martial Techniques hidden within the patterns), which creates a system in which the impossible, truly becomes possible. Don’t take our word for it though, we encourage you to check it out for yourself!

From ballistic striking, to chokes, holds, locks and throws. This is Karate Jutsu/Ju Jutsu/boxing for actual street combat, which works.

Russ is also one of the funniest and most fun people one is ever likely to meet, and Dr Ed Emmanuel, (our Head Instructor), having travelled all over the country, and half-way round the world, to train and grade with Russ, is privileged to be able to call him a good friend.

Iain Abernethy

http://www.iainabernethy.com

Iain is a not only a former WKF World Class Referee, and so highly expert in Karate-do, but also a World Authority on Bunkai Jutsu. Having written numerous books, and produced countless DVDs which have received superlative acclaim the world over, Iain is also a Master Detective. He has single-handedly re-discovered, re-engineered and re-introduced flow drills, taken from the realistic application of principles recorded in kata, (patterns), to make Karate, (and related arts such as Tae Kwon Do), relevant and effective in street self-defence.

Iain’s system also includes ballistic striking, chokes, holds, locks and throws and it works for real people, and by that we mean average martial arts students, (not just the elite), in realistic self-protection. If you have ever wondered why Karate students were originally made to learn kata or patterns (and here’s a clue, is was not for ‘shadow boxing purposes’), then we encourage you to visit Iain’s webpage and begin your journey of discovery. We are supremely confident that you will not regret it.

Additionally, Iain is an incredibly passionate, walking encyclopaedia of Karate History, (as well as Viking History), and even more important is just a calm, balanced rock amongst life’s tempest….A true gentleman and a gentle man.

Our Head Instructor, (Dr Ed Emmanuel), has also travelled extensively to talk with, train with and grade with Iain, and is immensely proud to call him a good friend.

British Combat Karate Association

http://www.britishcombatkarate.co.uk

‘The BCKA was formed in 2011, a spin off from the British Combat Association, (BCA), to provide a ‘home’ for those Instructors and Clubs that are still involved in mainstream Karate. The founders of the BCA, Peter Consterdine and Geoff Thompson are at heart Karateka and never lost their appreciation of the great foundation Karate gave them, and on which they built their own unique combat systems.

The BCKA mirrors the key principles upon which the BCA has been very successfully built – no politics, a great administration service, immediate help and support, an understanding of the need for change and growth and, above all else, a network of friendly, like-minded people for whom Karate has been life enhancing.’

This is a direct quotation from the BCKA website, but we can attest to the truth of the incredibly efficient administration, (thank you Dawn), and Peter Consterdine and Geoff Thompson are both World Famous Martial Arts legends in their own lifetime.

If you have been living on the moon, and are somehow unfamiliar with these 2 giants of the Karate and Self-Protection world, we strongly suggest you use your favourite search engine, and be prepared for an enlightening education.

If you are a Martial Arts Club Instructor, looking for a superb, apolitical, helpful, and supportive association, which lives out the creed of fairness and equal opportunities, look no further than the BCA or BCKA, the latter being registered and affiliated with the EKF.

We at the CKJU feel privileged to be part of such a credible, honourable and World Famous Martial Arts Association.
